Lunatechs Hong Kong is looking for a Chapter Lead and a Community Lead to run the chapter for one year. Together you'll run casual meetups and signature events with the support of our volunteer organizers and the global Lunatechs team. Both are volunteer roles, based in Hong Kong. Over time, you become the face of Lunatechs Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run events through the year: casual meetups and signature events
- Host events: open the night, introduce speakers, keep the room moving
- Bring in speakers, venues and partners
- Coordinate the volunteer organizer team in the daily WhatsApp chat
- Join a 30-minute weekly team meeting, online or in person
- Welcome new members and connect people who should meet
Chapter Lead, in addition:
- Set the chapter's strategy
- Plan the event calendar quarter by quarter
- Act as liaison with Lunatechs Global Leadership
Requirements
- Based in Hong Kong
- Fluent in Cantonese and English
- A tech background: experience at a big tech company, or building your own products
- Comfortable with AI tools, and quick to learn new ones
- Comfortable speaking to a room and on camera
- Organized and resourceful
- You love meeting people and helping others succeed, and you go to tech and AI events on your own time
- Able to commit for one year, starting with a two-event trial
